INSTRUCTOR-PROFILE RODRIGO ORTALE:
Education: CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) Level II
Languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian
My dedication and passion for snowboarding have taken me from Brazil to many places like Aspen, Jackson Hole, Argentina, Chile, Andorra and now Switzerland. My background comes from teaching English to all ages and competing freestyle snowboarding in South America.
I look at snowboarding as a discipline and always try to evolve and get better as a snowboarder. I would love to share that with you! It has been 10 years on the board with 12 season of everyday riding. After I became Brazilian Snowboarding Champion in 2013 I decided to move into teaching and start sharing my knowledge.
I love riding fresh powder, freeriding and dropping some cliffs, so I always have my favorite lines around the mountains but when the sun is out and the fresh snow is gone, I like hitting the snowpark for some freestyle tricks. What trick do you want to learn?
I have many seasons experience working with groups of all ages and abilities. From the classes of 10 students from elementary school who’ve never seen snow to another with 7 business people who I have never met before and were real rippers!
On private classes I really take the opportunity to make every class very unique. I love taking shortcuts to fast progression, together with style, always making sure it is safe and fun!
I also have a website and a brand, CAIPIRINHA SNOW, where I showcase a little bit of my riding. You should check it out! https://caipirinhasnow.wixsite.com/2020/
Come ride with me and let’s have some fun snowboarding!
